Il Grande Mondo Laggiù
I resume the thread by posting the text (written 5 minutes ago) of what almost certainly will be the opening track of Wounds, Big The World Below . As often happens to me, the title came long before the piece itself and is borrowed, something happens to me just as often, the title of a book.
This time it happened to Ray Bradbury. Big world out there is the Italian title of a story actually The Great Wide World Over There . Translating from English into wrong way I came out this way that I find interesting for one of my usual tell uplifting stories. recording of the piece is almost complete, with some bullshit in the arrangement and the lack of a closure interesting .. public the draft text in the meantime here ...
THE BIG WORLD BELOW
There is a big hole in this town
That's where all monsters come out from
There Must Be Another hole in my
mind That's where my life's so fucking gone I'm on the loose
I'm on the loose
Either a preacher or a sinner
keep on spitting random words
this is no life the thing I'm living
just a passable substitute
there's something creeping on the road I choose
I hear it breathing out my name
there's something waiting at the end of the street
and there's a hole in my heart leading straight
to the big world below us
now I'm falling from the roof
and I watch the world come closer
take time to think to things I'll loose
and, funny thing, I can't tell a single one
I'm out of the blue
I'm out of the blue
the floor get closer, time to go
I'm leaving you and your boring world
now I see the hole close closer
and I hear it calling my name
there's something hiding there I just can't wait to see
I know I finally found my way
the fall was long and the ground so hard
but when you think you'll hit the bottom don't worry
there's a big world below us
a big world below
a big world below
a big world below
and that hole in your soul is the road
to the big world below
